The Red Candle on a Glass Vase
God works in mysterious ways
When a red candle on a glass vase was given
I am eager to decipher what it meant
A candle's purpose is to give light
And it represents the flame of God, light of salvation
And inorder to give light it should be kindled
"Fire" is a symbol of the Holy Spirit
When He descent and filled the apostles on Pentecost
He appeared as tongues as of fire
The red candle inside the vase is like a kingdom of God
And red symbolizes God's presence and blood of Christ
And the vase is the activity of right doings (Ephisians 6)
The good deeds create a protective shield inside us
If the glass vase was removed the candle will be unprotected
Without good works, faith alone will not stand along
Actions of right doing, sustain, keep alive and protects the flame within
Seeing that the vase is see-through the same are the works we do
The world can see through activity and discover motives
The vase alone is see through and nothing is present, just glass
Same as right doings without the love of God involved, just mere emptiness
